Siemens NX Part Families: automatic selection and positioning

Modular assembly design often fails because of the number of possible combinations. For example, if you combine 10 variants of your part or assembly in 10 positions, you get 10,000,000,000 possible combinations. This video shows a different way of combining parts and assemblies based on characteristics. This allows easy selection, positioning and even automatic creation of parts.
